Hey guys. So I just realized that the logo I currently use has trade marked symbols in it. So over the next two months I have a friend of mine doing a new logo. I should get part of it to use in around a month. It will be awesome and cool looking.(and expensive)
We have worked out a deal and all, it will be featured on most of my tanks as well via stencil and airbrush. The contract is almost done being written up and I will be aharing a link to his site as soon as details become available. See ya later guys keep on painting. The picture below is of 3 objective markers I have painted. The minis are from Warmachine but will be used in my fantasy and 40k games.

Painting Contest..Again
We all remember my complaining about. Painting contest last year. I won second place and was extatic. Well the time has come for it again and I will participating. I have learned much in the past year..Much indeed. There will be blood, sweat and tears. But I will win. No idea what to paint though.
Unpredictability
We all fall into that "Oh this and this, has to be in every list". We are predictable, driven by the units that do well in our eyes. But doesnt it get a bit boring? Dont you wanna try something new?
I ask you to try a new unit or list altogether in your next games. See what else there is in your codex besides the so called staples of your army. I play Blood Angels, which means nothing but assault marines and stormravens. But I just challenged myself to make a list and it has no assault marines. It has assault units buy no assault marines. No mephiston either. Im also using a new HQ one I have been wanting to use for a while.
Challenge yourself, make a list that is completely new to you. One that doesnt abide by your armies main purpose. Then after playing a game with such a list report back and tell me how it went. A change of pase is always welcome, isnt it?

Without The Brush
As a mini painter, painting is a huge part of my life. I usually spend around 18-30 hours a week at my workbench. When Im not sitting in my studio completely immersed in what ever game my whim is on that day, I find myself thinking about painting. Painting relaxes me, humors me, and brings a part of me out that I really like. It pulls all of my focus into something and makes me forget everything around me, no one else matters but the mini I am painting.
Thoughts of anger, saddness, or frustration fade away the minute I sit at my desk. (maybe not frustration, we all have that one mini which gives you trouble glueing together) I find it funny that I poor so much effort and emotion into a tiny piece of pewter, resin etc. Think about it, those pieces of plastic and resin mean so much to a painter. They become a part of you, after its done it directly reflects who you are.
I know I said when I paint I forget my rage and saddness buy I find the best thing to do when angry is to sit at your painting station and fixate (I know you shouldnt) on the person or thing that angers you and just start painting. Also music will help you with this. Put on your headphones and focus on the mini and the anger and paint. The next time you look up to see the time your mini will nearly be done. You focus so much on your rage while the music blocks out all other distractions and you accidently focus all of your energy on the mini and doing everything without needing to worry about being careful. I recently rage painted a Furioso Dreadnought. I had to share that observation sorry for the tangent.
Anyway, the satisfaction of looking at a complete miniature you have painted is something that drives me. The only thing better than that is sucessfully executing a new technique.
Model by model, brush by brush, we all paint for a different reason. Sometimes its cause your bored, or because you need a place to escape. I paint to escape and to keep myself focused. I also really enjoy the narrative sense of wargaming and modeling.
-Its John from IPJ saying thank you for the best year I have had in a long time. New friends, new experiences. My rookie year as a wargamer has come to a close and with it a rather strange period of my life.
Thank you for hanging in to read this it was long but I needed to say it. Why do you paint? Leave a comment.

A Year On The Run
Im sorry I missed the blogs anniversary but its been a whole year since I began blogging. I have taken long breaks but Ive always come back. I wish I knew if anyone reads this which I highly doubt because blogspot has billions of blogs and a not many readers for them. But I wanted to thank all of you for watching my videos and helping me along this journey.
For my version of viewer appreciation I ask you this, what models would you like me to paint in the coming months? Any tutorials? I have had one request for Demons of Chaos Blood Letters. I appreciate your support and tips and tricks. Im not a pro but aspire to be one soon. You have all helped me and there arent words for the way I feel twards you all! So what do u wanna see fron the IPJ this year?
The Guns Reach
Walls of fire roll forth, crushing many uder iys reddish gaze. Some try to escape, others stand in awe at their coming doom. Quickly it is upon them, burnin, cutting, smashing, both flesh and bone. The firing line marches forward, one step at a time, readying their firey wall again.
